“Global statistics clearly demonstrate that pets are indispensable members of many families worldwide. With over a billion pets globally and an impressive figure of 150 million pets in the United States alone, it’s evident that travelers increasingly prefer to journey with their four-legged friends. Research indicates that over 50% of travelers worldwide take their pets on vacation, with a large number opting for pet-friendly hotels for accommodation. In this regard, I’m particularly pleased that with this website, we further highlight our city as a recognizable destination that extends a warm welcome to visitors with pets, a commitment we will solidify at the end of April with the hosting of the World Dog Show 2024 at the Zagreb Fair,” stated Martina Bienenfeld, Director of the Zagreb Tourist Board.
